Returning to Narnia

I watched Prince Caspian today (with Marv and Lou). It's really well done, much better than the first one. But that's just my opinion.

Well, cus it has a good storyline and interesting new (and old) characters. The visual effects, fight scenes and stunts.. brilliant! Good humor too. Isn't that enough to prove my point?

So no matter what, you must watch this movie! It's not one you'll regret.

Anyways, as we're leaving the cinema Lou said that there's a hidden Christian message within the movie, just like the first one. Honestly speaking, the message is pretty obvious if you ask me. That is.. if you're Christian and alert enough to notice.

Can't wait for the next movie!

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

It has been a year since the previous adventure. We find the Pevensie siblings pulled back into the land of Narnia by Susan's magic horn. They find that more than 1,300 Narnian years have passed since their absence, with the Golden Age Narnia extinct and conquered by the ruthless Telmarines.

The land of Narnia is now ruled by the bloodthirsty General Miraz, uncle to the true heir, Prince Caspian. The young prince is now in exile after escaping his uncle's attempt of assasination. Now the children must find Aslan to save Narnia, and restore its magic and glory as well as help Caspian regain his rightful place on the throne.

Marv and I watched Marié Digby in concert at OU yesterday evening. So did about a thousand or more fans and curious people. It was packed to the max! Bloody hot and sweaty.. gross.

I looked around to see if there's anyone I know there. Saw Fareez and Jean up on the third floor, just a few metres apart. What a coincidence right?

Um.. Marié Digby's singing is pretty really good and so is her guitar skills. Plus, she's purtey.. thanks to her Irish-Japanese parentage. (Sheesh! These mixed-bloods are so damn lucky. They always get all the best genes and looks.)

Anyways.. like I said, the place was packed! Everywhere were hands, cameras and mobile phones. Bloody hell! Blocked my view and my shot. Had to freakin' tip-toe to get good shots. At the end of the night, my toes hurt like dog.

To add to the shitiness, my camera's battery ran out halfway through the show. Plus, I didn't bring the spare. So then I had to use my phone's camera, which ain't good for far shots. Damn sore, man. Damn sore.

I don't know if you knew this, but there was a competition organized by Mix.fm where listeners had to call up and sing "Say It Again". The top three were there and up on stage to sing in front of Marié. Plus, they got to say a few words to her and hug her! Damn! Anyways, us viewers had to 'vote' (cheers and claps) for the best singer.

The winner? An 8 yo girl named Kimberly. Her trophy? An autographed acoustic guitar! o_O

Oh ya. There was also an awesome performance by this accapella group called Acoustic 39. Nice name btw. They sang acappella to "Say It Again". They are amazing, man! Great young talents.

And then came the autograph session at the GAP boutique. It was C.R.A.Z.Y!!! Madness! Bollocks! Especially when Marié was escorted off the stage and into GAP. Practically everyone was trying to snap a picture of her, or touch her, or something. -_______-"

Plus, the queue was bloody long! It started from GAP all the way to near the stage area. Everyone was hot and tired but still we all stood in line and waited for our turn. Semangat sial.

All in all, it was a pretty good night. Tiring.. but good.

P/S: If you want to see photos from the event, go to Marv's blog. I malas wanna post them up. Sorry.

M. M. Law

I think the title looks like some Chinese man's initials. Like Ming Mun Law. Or Mak Mei Law. Oh wait! I've got a funny one.. Mek Mee Law (make milo). Haha.. wahahahahahahahaha! So mou liew -_____-"

Anyways, revising for Media Law was really killing me! Plus, everything on the court structure and heirarchy for UK (which I was pretty okay with) didn't appear on the paper. When I scanned through the questions, I was like "WTF?!"

Well, at least defamation came out a lot. That also boleh tahan only. Sigh.. hope I don't flunk this paper. OMG la. I honestly dunno how I'll survive when it's time for finals. Must not study last minute. No more! No way!

Mid terms are over for now. Actually there's still E-media's mid term but that's like after the holidays, so.. pfffttttt! Hehe.

Btw, sorry for boring you with all the Law terms. But that show's that I know my stuff. Che-wah! Haha.

Honestly this is the first time I've heard of a singing ventriloquist. And I'm really impressed. These two are auditioners from America's Got Talent.

This first video is of 18yo Meghan Miller. She's singing the title, go figure. But the awesome thing is that she has 2 puppets for her act, and this song ain't easy to sing.

Um.. I guess I agree with Sharon, her act is more suited for children but she's a brilliant ventriloquist. No doubt about that.

Meghan Miller

The next two videos are of Terry Fator with his female puppet, Emma Taylor, who's a singer cum imitator. The first video is his audition. One word.. fantastic!

Oh! My tattoo's growin!

Jeff Dunham has new puppets! One's his black manager, Sweet Daddy D. The other's an alcoholic Nascar fan, Bubba J.

Really funny. Have fun laughing.

Studying at OU?

Yupz.. Krys & I went to OU today to study. We're serious. I studied Photo and Krys did French Revolution (I think).

Have you ever gone to the back section of the first floor of MPH? Well, if you do then you'll find a members' reading area, the Book Cafe, and a music corner. Since neither of us are members, we studied at the Book Cafe.

The ambience there is pretty nice and cosy. Good lighting. Music playing in the background. Comfy tables and chairs. The usual stuff.

Since it's a cafe, they also sell food and drinks, both Malaysian and Western. The food, drinks and prices are somewhat okay, but it all depends on what you order.

Krys' Peppermint Tea..

My Vanilla Cappuccino..

Studying hard..

At around 2-ish, Marv came from college. He had just finished a practical class. We had lunch at the cafe. My order was the most worth it.. hehe. Like I said earlier, it depends on what you order there.

We were eating when Krys suddenly realised we havn't taken any photos of our food. As I took mine and Krys' food, Marv arranged his untouched sandwich. Mengada.

My Chicken Chop Rice..

Krys' Nasi Lemak..

Marv's oven-baked Cheese & Mushroom Sandwich..

Krys was picking out the onions from her rice..

Vanilla Milkshake..
Marv & I both ordered this..

Candid..

Ooh.. water..
LOL.

Peek-a-boo!

You know what? I just realised that there isn't a single photo of me in here! Maybe it's cus I'm the one taking all the photos. LOL.

What happened?

Here are some of today's happenings and their photos.

Morning
Krys car-pooled. As she came into the car, she said that she dropped her yogurt spoon. On the way to college, she was drinking her Mixed Berries yogurt. Yes.. drink.

At college, while I parked the car, she had finished her yogurt and was licking up the excess.

It's finger lickin good..

Noon
It's Photo lecture today. Today's lecture was pretty interesting.. well, better compared to the last few ones.

Giovanni did a very technical demonstration on photography lighting. The model was Lou. Actually she volunteered cus it was really cold in the room, and she was hoping the lights would provide some warmth.

The demonstration..

She looks really Chinese and fat. Sorry Lou..

Playing with the lights..

Evening
Was supposed to have Desktop tutorial. We're supposed to learn how to use Microsoft Publisher. But because the stupid computer lab staff haven't install the software, the tute was canceled. However we could still stay and re-do any of the previous work that we're dissatisfied with.

Was searching for a cool wallpaper with musical notes, which Lou had used for her self collage. Found it. Clicked to open it. And this window popped up. Hilarious and bloody nerdy.

Open the pic to see it clearer.

Then later, time to head home. We found this under the windscreen wiper. The culprit? Louise Chang Wai Ming!

Marv & Krys posing with the note..
