Live acoustics

Marv and I watched Marié Digby in concert at OU yesterday evening. So did about a thousand or more fans and curious people. It was packed to the max! Bloody hot and sweaty.. gross.

I looked around to see if there's anyone I know there. Saw Fareez and Jean up on the third floor, just a few metres apart. What a coincidence right?

Um.. Marié Digby's singing is pretty really good and so is her guitar skills. Plus, she's purtey.. thanks to her Irish-Japanese parentage. (Sheesh! These mixed-bloods are so damn lucky. They always get all the best genes and looks.)

Anyways.. like I said, the place was packed! Everywhere were hands, cameras and mobile phones. Bloody hell! Blocked my view and my shot. Had to freakin' tip-toe to get good shots. At the end of the night, my toes hurt like dog.

To add to the shitiness, my camera's battery ran out halfway through the show. Plus, I didn't bring the spare. So then I had to use my phone's camera, which ain't good for far shots. Damn sore, man. Damn sore.

I don't know if you knew this, but there was a competition organized by Mix.fm where listeners had to call up and sing "Say It Again". The top three were there and up on stage to sing in front of Marié. Plus, they got to say a few words to her and hug her! Damn! Anyways, us viewers had to 'vote' (cheers and claps) for the best singer.

The winner? An 8 yo girl named Kimberly. Her trophy? An autographed acoustic guitar! o_O

Oh ya. There was also an awesome performance by this accapella group called Acoustic 39. Nice name btw. They sang acappella to "Say It Again". They are amazing, man! Great young talents.

And then came the autograph session at the GAP boutique. It was C.R.A.Z.Y!!! Madness! Bollocks! Especially when Marié was escorted off the stage and into GAP. Practically everyone was trying to snap a picture of her, or touch her, or something. -_______-"

Plus, the queue was bloody long! It started from GAP all the way to near the stage area. Everyone was hot and tired but still we all stood in line and waited for our turn. Semangat sial.

All in all, it was a pretty good night. Tiring.. but good.

P/S: If you want to see photos from the event, go to Marv's blog. I malas wanna post them up. Sorry.

Darren out.
