Hello fatties!

As said in my previous post, I watched 'Run Fat Boy Run' at Mid Valley with Marv, Adrian and Christy. We decided to watch at MV since it's the nearest mall to Petaling Street.

The movie's really touching and pretty inspiring. It's basically about not being a "chicken" by running from love, commitment and responsibility. Also it's a comedy, so go figure.

Plus, I like that they use British actors cause it's kind of a British based movie. Even the American actors fake the accent perfectly. I dunno la. I just really like the British accent. LOL.

The main character, Dennis Doyle's son, Jake is super cute! Seriously damn fcuking cute la. And then when he speaks it increases the cuteness factor even more.

Matthew Fenton as Jake Doyle.
Isn't he seriously adorable?

Another thing I liked is the fact that David Walliams of 'Little Britain' is in the movie. He's super funny la.

So all in all, the movie is really worth watching, both to inspire you and to give you stomach cramps from all the laughing. Haha.

Run Fat Boy Run

Five years ago Dennis left Libby, his pregnant fiancee at the altar. He ran for the hills and has been going in circles with everything that he does ever since. When Dennis discovers Libby's hooked up with high-flying-go-getter Whit, he realizes it's now or never. He enters a marathon to show he's more than a quitter but then finds out just how much sweat, strain and tears it takes to run for 26 miles. Nobody gives him a chance but Dennis knows this is his only hope to being more than a running joke.

Going places

To summarize what I'm about to write, I went to damn alot of places with Marv, Adrian and Christy yesterday. We first went to Petaling Street, then to Mid Valley, Bangsar, Damansara Heights, Help University College and lastly to Sri Sinar in Kepong. A super long and tiring day!

Now for the full "story".

It was them lovebirds who suggested that we go to Petaling Street to spend the day, instead of the usual movies at OU.

The main reason I agreed to go is cause I can take photos for my major Photography assignment. At PS, I happily snapped photos of pratically everything that's interesting. Got some really awesome shots.

I seriously am obsessed with photography now. LOL.

We had lunch at some food court in PS. There were some people promoting the new Anglia Apple. They did it in pairs, a girl and a guy. The girls did the talking, while the guys poured out the samples.

The guys were carrying this big-ass replica of the can, which actually contains all the cans and cups for sampling, and the fliers. So cool!

Anyhow, we were supposed to crash at Jon's house to bathe and get ready for the Help charity concert thingy that night. But the fella was at Summit rock-climbing and would only leave at 5pm.

Since we had plenty of spare time, we decided to go watch a movie at Mid Valley, which is the nearest mall to PS. We watched 'Run Fat Boy Run'. Will talk about the movie in another post.

After the movie, Jon still needed some time to get home. We went to Bangsar cause there was this pair of sunglasses that I really wanted to get. Sadly someone had beat me to it. Fcuking piece of shite. Hate it when that happens.

Okay. Then we went to Mooie, cause Marv still insists he wants a sock monkey. He still couldn't get one though. And later we had dinner at Nirvana. Food and drinks were quite good, especially the Nescafe Susu Lembu that Adrian ordered.

After dinner, Jon finally said that he was nearly home. So we went to his place, and everyone quickly showered and got ready. We were already late for the concert. But it didn't matter, cause we were fashionably late. Lollers.

The event was honestly quite boring cause there were to many singing acts back-to-back. The only acts that fired-up the audience were the bagpipes (yes I'm serious.. bagpipes), the lucky draw session, the 'Best Dressed Male and Female' voting session, and the PARTS performance (which was awesome! Good job guys!).

Christy, Amber, Erisha, Steph, Marvin and I left before the event ended cause it was getting late. After dropping Christy home, we went to Old Town White Coffee at Sri Sinar cause the girls hadn't had dinner.

So ya.. like I said it was a long, LONG day. Hence, the long post. So I hope you don't mind.

Will post all the photos in a later post.

Just like a maze..

Went to Times Square with Marv, Erisha, Amber, Kathy, Juls and Damien (Juls' bf) yesterday. Juls just came home from Aussie, so we're taking the opportunity to go out.

Marv had some replacement class in the morning, so we had to wait for him before we can go. And we waited damn long okay! All thanks to his stupid lecturers. Hate them la. Useless buggers!

Oh ya! We got into an accident just outside Amber's house, which pulled us off schedule even more. It was basically just a scrape-through.

Our Myvi wasn't that badly "wounded", just some of the other car's paint on our bumper (which washed off easily) and a couple of scratches. The other car got it bad: slightly dented door, torn skirting and big scratches. Tsk.. tsk.

So anyways.. we were seriously off schedule. Plan was to meet at the Kepong KTM station by 10am plus, but cus of Marv (not directly blaming you okay?), we were only there slightly after noon. And poor Damien, who was supposed meet us Tunas there, was waiting the whole time.

By the time we reached TS, everyone was starving balls! We decided that since we hadn't eaten our favourite tom yam mee hoon at Johnny's in a long time, that's where we're having lunch.

After lunch was SHOPPING!

Okay. Here's a warning.. if you're someone who has a bad memory and an equally bad sense of direction, then don't ever come to TS to shop, cause you are sure to get yourself lost! That is unless you go with a friend who has either one of those said qualities. Then it's a different story.

Anyhow, the girls were basically finding stuff for their new online boutique, Garde-Robe:

Everyone sorta bought something, except Juls and Damien. We all went straight home after, cause Juls' dad didn't allow her to stay out till night.

It's understandable la, since she just got home. Plus it's the weekend. Obviously her dad might want to have dinner together or something.

Will post pictures in a later post. Sorry for any disappointment or trouble caused.

Balinese inspired

My mum had just confirmed our Bali trip this August. Woot! I'll be going with Marv, my mummy dearest and my aunt from the 3rd till 6th.

Plus, my mum made reservations at the Hard Rock Hotel at Kuta Beach. I've always wanted to stay at some HR Hotel, regardless of the country. And now I get to. Woot! Woot!

Just hope mum doesn't cancel the reservation though. Cause she previously made bookings at this boutique hotel, but the place was somewhat old. So she canceled and chose HR instead.

Bali here I come! Can't wait.

My new best friend..

Ms Irene, my Desktop lecturer, fell sick today. She canceled class. So I only had Law in the morning, and was free for the rest of the day. Marv was also done for the day.

So we decided to join Krys and Elissa, who were at Bangsar. They're finally able to shop now that their exams are over. Congrats girls! LOL.

We parked at a basement carpark next to Bangsar Village. The rate is RM1 per hour, which is better than RM5 for the 1st 3 hours at BV, but still quite pricey though.

Met up with the girls at Gossips and quickly went for lunch. We were all starving! I hadn't had anything to eat since morning. We decided to have Japanese. So off we went to Sakae Sushi in BV.

Us boys..

Them girls..

Chicken Terriyaki Don for Elissa & I..

Tempura Don for Krys..

Chicken Katsu Don for Marv..
It's half eaten.
Soft shell crab egg roll thingy..

Salmon blossom..

Salmon sushi.. my fav!

Baby octopus..
Elissa was squirmish. LOL.

After a satisfying lunch, we continued shopping in several of the small boutiques. Actually the girls continued shopping. Marv & I just followed and lent our opinions. But I did buy something. Will talk about that later. Hehe.

So anyways, just so you know, this is my first time shopping around Bangsar. Today I learnt that it's pretty tiring shopping here. I mean, the amount of stairs one has to climb! My gawd!

But then it is no doubt good exercise la. So I guess it ain't that bad. Especially after that hearty lunch. So don't grumble Darren Fong Hsin Wei. Pft.

I like Mooie and Moca, which are sister boutiques. I don't like them for the clothes, cause they have a really limited selection of guy's clothes. But I love what they've done with the place. The deco of both interiors are awesome! Seriously.

Moca's deco is cafe/ restaurant/ bar inspired. Really interesting. Damn cool and unique. Plus they play alternative music. Mooie's deco is somewhat the same but is more playful and relaxed. They have a lot of toys and stuff everywhere.. nice.

Krys & Marv with some toys at Mooie..

Camwhoring outside Mooie..

Marv camwhoring with his Converse at some shop..

After alot of stairs-climbing, clothes-trying and what not.. we stopped at Starbucks for something cold to drink cause it was damn hot out. I hate hot days. Really, really hate hot days.

All in all this shopping spree was quite productive. Elissa bought a tee from Mooie. Krys bought the most. She got 3 pieces, each from different shops. And I got something too.. a handstitched sock monkey from Mooie! I'm a happy boy.

I named him Theo..

The sock monkeys are called Oooks..
Mine's a special edition! Sweeeeeeettt..

High on Green

Yesterday was the day of the High on Green event, which was organized by this semester's PR students. It was quite a success, if I say so myself. Lots of people showed up, the entertainment was good, and almost everything went smoothly.

Good job guys!

Also, I love the fact that some students of KDU took the chance to show off their musical talents. Some of our very own talents were Project Void and 2 Smoking Barrels. You guys really rocked our socks! Woot! Woot!

The auditorium was packed..

Ashy & Sam at the drinks stand..
The Pink Lemonade is the bomb! Delish.

Here are photos of some of the performers. These are all that I manage to snap and steal from others. LOL.

It's time for Kung Fu fighting!

Watched 'Kung Fu Panda' with Lou and Gracie today. It was pretty last minute cause we only planned it last night.

Nicky was supposed to join us but she went to play badminton with another bunch of friends instead. She freakin' missed out, man! The movie's definitely 100% better than playing badminton!

So like I said, the movie was awesome! It's fcuking HILARIOUS!!!! Seriously. It was laughs and.. ahem.. snorts throughout the movie. Yup, it's that funny! That is if you can get the jokes. But I don't think there's anyone who wouldn't cause the humor was pretty straight-forward and obvious.

So if you didn't get them.. man, you SUCK!

Anyways, it sure is an animated film that's worth watching. I feel like buying the DVD. Think it's a good idea?

Kung Fu Panda

It's the story about a lazy slacker panda, named Po, who is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around, which doesn't exactly come in handy while working every day in his family's noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po's dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five -- Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey -- under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it's up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Can he turn his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master into reality? Po puts his heart - and his girth - into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.

Proud to be Chinese..

Marv won a pair of seats to a dinner with Kylie Kwong at the Mandarin Oriental. If you didn't know, she's the host of the Discovery Travel & Living's upcoming new show 'Kylie Kwong: My China'.

So the dinner was yesterday night. I honestly did not expect that there were so many other winners. But my gawd, there were alot! There were still tables in the ballroom that were empty though.. about 3 I think.

Anyhow, God really blessed us that last night. Cause we were originally placed at table 13, which was right at the back. Yeah I know.. that sucked.

But then while we all introduced ourselves, a staff member came to our table and told us that we're being moved up to the front.. to table 7! And it gets better. Table 7 is right behind table 1, which is the VIP table where Kylie sits! OMG!!!

Okay. The night started off with a trailer for Kylie's new show. Then she came out, introduced herself and the show, and talked about her experiences will filming it. There's even a book with recipes and photos from the show, which was our door gift. Damn nice eh?

This dinner is a 9 course one. All the dishes served are from Kylie's show and the book, except for the beef one which is the hotel's signature dish. The food's really good! Really simple, but good all the same. Oh! And we got to drink Moet sparkling wine. Delicious!

All in all, it was an awesome night. Really wonderful to get the chance to meet her. Thanks Marv for winning the seats. LOL.

Oh btw, as you can see, I didn't post any photos. Malas la.. hehe. But you can go to Marv's blog for the night's photos. He has them all up. Okay? Okay.

'Hate' is a strong word

I officially hate Mondays.. well, probably only this Monday. But anyways I just absolutely HATE today.

I woke up bright and early this morning just to finish up my slides for my Copyright presentation this Wednesday. I was so focused (yeah, I know.. even I was suprised) that I lost track of time.

Halfway typing, I randomly looked at the clock, which showed about 12.35 or something. I forgot. Oh and plus, my mum had lunch ready in the kitchen. So the point is by the time I shut down everything, bathed, ate and drove to college, I'd be late for class. The tutorial's at 1pm.

So I didn't bother to rush. What's the point of rushing if I'm gonna be late anyways? Plus, I've never been late for any of my classes this semester. There's a first for everything, right?

Also I had another class (a replacement class) at 2pm. Decided to just go for that instead. So I had my lunch and everything, then went to college.

Just so you know, I had a book that I had to return. So I returned that book, then went looking for Nicky or Lou. Found Lou at 103. Nicky, as usual, was at the smoking zone.

'Cause we didn't know where the replacement class was, Lou & I went to the staff room to find out. Here's what we found out, and basically is the reason why I hate today. Apparently the class was not confirmed, meaning it's not on!

Like WTF??! That means I came all the way to college just to return a blardy book! OMG la. Damn sore, man.

So that, children, is the super-long-winded story of why I hate today.

Muttons at Midnight

Was at McD in Centerpoint with Nicky DS, Gracie and Zach today. Zach wanted to have luch outside college so we just teman him. Halfway talking, Nicky let Gracie and I hear these videos. Yes.. hear 'cause we had to share. So it's easier if we just hear it.

Both videos are by Justin and Vernon from the Singaporean radio station, 98.7FM Muttons at Midnight.

The first video is of Vernon making a prank call to exploit this aunty's Singlish. The aunty's a caterer, so he's calling to make an order for food for a party he's having.

The second video is Justin and Vernon re-singing One Republic's "Apologise". Then they explain the meaning of the lyrics from James Blunt's "You're Beautiful" and Hoobastank's "The Reason".

Here's some info so you'll understand the explanation for "The Reason". Prima Deli's sorta like Deli France.. the Singaporean version. They had a bad case of food poisoning at one point of time, which caused them to close down for good.

Okay, so listen closely and have a good laugh. ROFLMAO.

Bboy prodigy

Watched Ellen Degeneres' talkshow, Ellen, with my mum and the brat on Wednesday. One of her guests was Jalen Testerman, who's sorta famous in America for being a really young and amazing breakdancer.

Oh, believe me.. he is brilliant! Well, for his age that is. But how often do you come across an amazing little bboy?

The thing is he's self-taught! He watched "You've Got Served" and a few other dance-based movies, thought that breakdancing's cool, and then decided to copy the moves from the movies.

I like the part in the first video when Ellen asked what his favourite move was. His answer: "Headspin. Because it get's dizzy and I fall down."

Awwww... so cute! Sigh, he's just so cute la! Even his voice is cute. And he's definitely gonna be one heck of an awesome bboy when he's older, and a very good-looking one for sure.

So anywyas, you must watch these videos! Seriously.. you must, or you'll regret not being able to see this cutie in action and hear that voice.

Okay, the first video is of Jalen dancing on Ellen. The second's taken by some guy on YouTube. It shows Jalen dancing for a circle of pro breakdancers at the REC (whatever that means). He even battles with a few of them a bit. Awesome kid!

So people, enjoy!

Save the environment..

Happy World Environment Day!

This special day is also known as WED, which purpose might sound the same as Earth Day. But it isn't, okay?

WED is hosted every year by a different city and commemorated all around the world throughout the week of June 5.

The host for the World Environment Day 2008 will be New Zealand, with the main international celebrations scheduled for Wellington. The slogan for 2008 is "CO2, Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy."
