The cautionary whale

Marvin and I both pitched in some cash and bought 6 DVDs (buy 5, free 1) yesterday. But they were all for just RM40! Bargain man! Bargain!

And yes, I do support DVD piracy. But it depends okay. Think about it. The original ones are so pricey! So if the pirated ones are really good quality (and cheap).. why not? LOL.

So anyways, one of the DVDs that we got was Juno. We unanimously decided to watch that first. It was really well done. Kudos to the director (Jason Reitman) and especially the writer (Diablo Cody)!

I like that Juno was made to be such a sharp-tongued teen -- so cynical and full of sarcastic quips. Plus, once she'd accepted the fact that she's heavily preggers, she becomes so selamba about it. Her constant sarcasm is hilarious but you must be quick to get them.

Um.. I also like the indie-ness of this movie and the many indie-sounding songs that acompanies it. I so wanna get the soundtrack! Yes.. I will be getting the original. FYI, all my albums are original. Happy??

Darren out.

Juno

Juno is a whip-smart teen confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Bleeker. With the help of her hot best friend Leah, Juno finds her unborn child a "perfect" set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, Mark and Vanessa, longing to adopt. Luckily, Juno has the total support of her parents as she faces some tough decisions, flirts with adulthood and ultimately figures out where she belongs.
