Why, hello there. Haha :)
It appears that I haven't updated my blog since freakin' June. That's what.. 4 months now? Shit. I really gotta stop doing this. I always have the habit of being lazy and not update, and then for some reason I'd just suddenly start again. But seriously, knowing myself, I reckon this habit is just gonna keep repeating itself.
So anyways I'm updating now cause I have this assignment that requires us to create a digital portfolio and we can use Blogger to do so. Obviously it reminded me of this blog and so I thought, why not?
Okay.. updates.
Well, I've been in Melbourne (which is like my dream come true. Yes, it sounds corny or cliche but it has always been my dream to further my studies here ever since my visit when I was 12. No kidding) for like 4 months now.
It's awesome here. I'm loving the weather.. though it's crazy ass! Loving the company.. most of my friends here are from KL and Singapore, except those at church cause they're all ABCs (Aussie Born Chinese, for you noobs who don't know what that means). Loving the shopping and the fashion. Loving the fact that I get to see more of my Aussie cousins, Nicole and Alice. And well, actually I practically love everything about this city.
So I'm doing my Bachelor of Communication (Advertising) in RMIT. Uni is fun.. tough but fun. Everyone's friendly and all. The Aussies are pretty intimidating though cause they're work seems a whole lot better than what I come up with. Makes me feel inferior. But well, so far so good.
We only have a couple more weeks left for uni. Can't believe time passed so quickly. Tons of assignments to do and complete this week and my habit of procrastinating ain't helping at all. Sigh. Really gotta be serious and finish everything this week. Gotta stop watching tv too.
I'll stop here for now. Will try to blog more often. Hm.. my blog need a face lift too. I getting bored of the colors and especially the header. Let's see what I can dig up.

Revenge is not so sweet
WHATHEFREAK?!!!
I bloody love Transformers man! Yeah, as you can guess, I'd just watched Transformers 2. Watched it Adrian and JonT.
This was damn last minute actually. I'd just had lunch with my mum and a family friend at Sakae Sushi @ the Curve. Oh btw Aunty Doreen's her name and she was so nice. She said lunch was on her since I'm leaving to Oz soon. And I had tons but she kept asking me to eat more! She's nice like that. Thanks heaps!
So anyhoots, I was on the way home from lunch when Adrian called. Mind you, I was already near the toll to Kepong and it was 2-ish. So he said he had an extra booked ticket for Transformers 2 at 3.30pm and if I'd want to come along. Like DUH! I drove home to change (I was in shorts and didn't wanna freeze my ass off) and left for MV straight away.
So yeah, the movie was BLODDY HOT!!! Yes, it was a tad draggy during the war scenes but overall it's no doubt pretty awesome. And the humor was just as good. I just don't get why everyone says they're disappointed. Stuff you and your disappointment!
Okay here's my advice: To not be disappointed with any sequel of whatever movie, just don't get your hopes and expectations too high. If you don't expect too much then you won't be as disappointed. DUH! Easy as pie *rolls eyes*
I ♥ Megan Fox!

"Life's a climb, but the view's great."
Travis Brody, HMTM
Travis Brody, HMTM
I watched Hannah Montana The Movie just now. Yes, I watched it. Wanna judge? Stuff you! Whatevs.
So I personally think that quote is so true. Life is no doubt full of trials, errors and tribulations but most of the time, the rewards are awesome to receive and/ or accept.
The movie was unexpectedly good. And the ending, especially when she sang 'The Climb', was so tear-inducing la. Fcuk! I cried like someone died. Haha. Anyhoots, I love that song la. If you've watched the movie then you'll really know the meaning behind the the lyrics. Awesome stuff.
Oh ya! I almost lost my phone too. I watched this at Jusco Metro Prima and today the patrons were particularly few. So in the cinema hall that I was, there were only 3 people, including me. So yeah, I decided to get comfy and put my legs on the seat in front of me.
On the way out only did I realize that my phone wasn't in my pocket. I knew I must have either dropped or left it on the seat (after replying my friend's message) in there. So I rushed back in and asked the guy to let me in again to look. That fool slowly took his time and called more fools to go look instead. Eventually, I found out that my phone has already been found and was kept in the office behind the ticket counter. Bloody bastards had to freakin' waste my time! Stupid.
So I got my phone back. No worries.

To all the dad's out there, especially mine..
HAPPY FATHERS DAY!
I found this comic via Google and unfortunate as it is, it's pretty true. The stuff Marv and I get for our dad ain't always as nice as what our mum gets. It's the same for birthdays. Sometimes we forget and he gets nothing. Though I know he won't read this, but on behalf of the both us, we're sorry if it hurt you in any way. And no matter how much we think or say that we hate you, deep down, we still love you.
Happy Fathers Day pa.

Overweight issues
I started packing my stuff for Oz today. And man, it's bloody boring! So here I am taking a breather and.. blogging.
So yeah, I've only started packing today. I've been so lazy about it. And thing is, it's not the only thing I have to do. I still have a few other important stuff (none of them related to my flying to Oz) to settle before I leave. Ugh.
Anyways, I've been folding clothes all day. And it's this constant, routine-like movements of taking the clothes off the hangers, folding them and then putting them into the luggage is what makes packing so boring. Okay, I've gotta stop complaining :(
Change of topic. My dad has just flown down to Oz this afternoon. He's tagging along with one of my uncles.. the rich architect, Uncle Ambrose to be exact. Most of my dad's expenses for the trip are paid for by him. Yes, including the plane tickets. He's my dad's brother-in-law and their like BFFs. Go figure.
Anyhoots, my cousin (Uncle Ambrose's son) and his girlfriend are also flying down later today. Yes, separate flight. Weird right? I know. And btw, they're Aaron and Samantha. Sammie's studying in RMIT, like me :)
So yeah, that's why my uncle flew down. He needs to be there to find and buy an apartment for them. And, like I said, my dad's just tagging along. So cause he's going before me, he helped me bring down some stuff too. But it ain't much. I've still got lots to bring down on my own.
Gotta get back to work. Sigh.

Safe as home
I am HOME!!!! Back from Europe and home sweet home. We didn't get dinner on the plane so my dad took us to Kana. Good old mamak food.
But uhm.. I wished we could've stayed longer in London la. I really, really love that city. Love it!
Shopping there is bloody awesome! Heck it's the freakin' birthplace of Topman la. Their Topman outlets are damn 7 huge and so are their choices. I was like a kid in a candy store. No shit. Good thing I got my share of retail therapy cause my mum offered to pay some. Lurves! :D But I still want more time in there la. So darn much to see, yet so little time.
Oh and btw, everything is dirt cheap for them Brits! One branded top can cost less than 20 pounds.. and I stress on the 'branded'! They have this budget brand called Primark. A tee there can cost as little as 3 or 4 freakin' pounds! Their plimsolls and sneaks are only 2.45 pounds. That's what? About RM14 for a pair of shoes? Like wtf right?? Sadly I didn't get anything from Primark. I'd missed every chance I got. Crud!
Anyhoots, food is also damn cheap too. A pack of candy from Marks & Spencer costs less than a pound and a McD or Subway set meal is about 3 pounds plus.
Food is also cheap in Munich. The pastries were super yummy! I liked Munich too. Also wished we could've stayed there longer. I especially liked that it was cold there and everywhere was so clean. Awesome place.
Paris was.. hmm.. so so. Not as amazing as I'd originally expected, quite disappointing actually. The metro, especially, is bloody confusing! The people you ask sometimes don't even know themselves. But it's not true that they say all Parisians aren't nice. Most of the people my family and I have met are pretty darn nice.
And then there's Marv's place. Feldberg, Germany. It nice and.. green. Really-vibrantly green, green. And I mean the plants, trees and all that. We had a nice view from our window. The hotel, Familotel Feldberger Hof is really family oriented. You can literally find kids running everwhere. Every night halfway through dinner, there's this sing-along circle in the lobby which is really cute cause all the kids are so into it. Oh and they allow dogs in too. Dunno about other pets, though.
Btw I can tell you this.. Marv is living a damn good and pretty relaxed life there. He only needs to work during breakfast and dinner when we were there. In between he had plenty of time to relax and all.
Okay, enough rambling. Gotta get back to satisfying my 2 weeks of internet and Facebook deprivation. LMFAO!

Euro trip
I still can't believe that my family and I are flying to Europe tonight. Well actually the flight's at 2am on Tuesday, so we'll be at the airport tonight.
And yes, the flight's at 2am. We'll stop in Dubai at 4am (Dubai time) to transit. The following flight, which will take us to Munich, Germany is at 8.35am (again Dubai time). It's gonna be a long, LONG night.. and flight!
Okay, gotta go now. Still got lots of things to take care of: gotta type out the itinerary for Paris and finalize the one for London, and buy the stuff that Marv needs us to bring over. Damn 7 stressful la! Sigh. But what to do, I'd procrastinated. So I'll just have to accept the consequences.
Cya in 2 weeks! Bye.

My study agent just called. Btw her name's Leong Ji Li, from Studylink Sdn Bhd. She damn efficient and has helped me with my Oz stuff heaps! I can't thank her enough. So anyhoots, if you're planning to go study at Oz, go find Ji Li. She'll be glad to help.
Okay. So guess what the call was about?? My student visa was just granted! Woot!!!
Oh and another thing.. some girl from Topman also called earlier this morning. She said that my black hoody has arrived! Double woots! Hmm.. I thought someone said one week? *rolls eyes*
I love it when things turn out right. LMFAO!

EDIT (4.o6 PM)
I quote my cousin's status on FB (she's Aussie btw):
Alice Fong i love those phone calls that come JUST at the right time.

I have exactly one month before I fly down to Oz. Yeah, you heard me read right.. ONE MORE MONTH!
Damn. Time really flies.
Part of me is stoked as hell! Trust me. I've been waiting for this moment of leaving the country for a bloody long time. Then the other part is obviously sad to *sobs* leave.
Sigh..

Roos from the hood
Just got back from my medical check-up. Apparently I'm normal, which is good. So now i just have to wait for my visa to be granted.
Went to OU after the check-up. I need more hoodies for the coming Europe trip and especially for Oz. Topman has some cheap, basic kangaroo ones in plain colors which I really like. Wanted the black hoody but their all out of stock. The only, and I repeat, ONLY outlet that still has it in stock is at Queensbay Mall in Penang! WTF?? I didn't know it was old stock.
So anyhoots, I asked them to send it over and apparently it'll take a week the least. Sigh. I hate it when things go wrong. But I told them to send it over anyways and that I'll come back to the store for it after Europe.
But uhm.. I ended up buying the one in grey :D

Sometime foods
Nicky, Lou, Iman and I baked cookies yesterday. It was tiresome (we had to drop each spoon of batter on onto the mat one-by-one, and there was a giant mixing bowl of it!) but was still fun heaps.
We made two types of cookies. Actually, Iman and I made the batter for the peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. Nicky and Lou made the Famous Amos ones.
So from the peanut butter batter (Ooh, tongue twister!), I made a 'D' shaped cookie. And it turned out pretty good.
I wanted to take another picture of me biting the 'D' against a white background. Only place was the dining room. Sad thing was after the first try, I was wiping sweat from my cheek when the cookie broke. I forgot I was just holding the tip. It fell, hit a nearby chair and "exploded" all over the floor! Poor cookie :'(
Oh and after dinner, we played Pictionary! I love that game! It was fun heaps too but Lou and I kept getting the difficult words. We lost. Duh!

Drama king
What a wacko night!
Just got back from Alex's party at Iman's place and man, the drama was insane I tell you! But sorry. Not bothering to go into the crazy details.
Honestly though, aside from the drama, it was all still pretty fun. So another party like this one minus all the hooha would be awesome! Anyone willing to organize?

Hokkienland
Penang was AWESOME!!!
Well pretty much la, aside from the moments of drama here and there. But whatevs, I had fun heaps!
The beach, especially, was the best! We stayed at this dodgy but still comfy traveler's lodge that's right opposite Batu Ferringhi beach. So we could go to the beach whenever we wanted, 24/7. Our first night itself, we sat at the beach bar drinking and chatting till almost 3am! So fun.
Oh and the food was great too, of course. I ♥ Penang hawker food la seriously. Cheap and so damn good. What else can a foodie ask for? Haha.
Speaking of food, I drank my fill of ambra asam juice there. Haiya ambra, ampula or kedongdong, whatever you wanna call it la. But man, I love that drink. Wonder why they don't have it in abundance here in KL like they do in Penang. Such a disappointment.
Anyhoo, can't wait to do another trip with friends again. They really are very fun. Man, I'm excited already. Woot!

The Penang trip is finally confirmed. Yipadee-doo-dah-yay!
It's gonna be five of us: me, Lou, Nicky, Alex and Iman (She's a new friend. And she's from Maldives. Sweet!) We're going this Friday and will be back Sunday. Now for the shocker.. we're leaving at 4am. Yes, 4 in the pagi! No joke.
Yeah, my friends are crazy, I know. But that's why I love them. Cue: Aawww! :D

Pentheraphobia
That's the fear of mother-in-laws. I was curious whether such a fear exists. So I googled it and apparently it does.
So I watched Monster-in-Law with my mum this afternoon. It was one of those special Mother's Day movies. Plus I had always wanted to watch it but never got to.
I thought the cat-fights and its results were bloody hilarious, especially the swollen lips. Cause uhm.. well I can relate to that. Used to wake up on some days with swollen lips when I was younger. Dunno why it happens, though.. it just does but very irregularly. Maybe it's some allergic reaction too, but yeah, was some random shit. But obviously mine wasn't as swollen as that la. DUH! Okay, I think I should shut up about that.
Anyhoo, my favorite was Ruby, the assistant. She actually has the balls to talk back and bang some sense into that uncontrollable biatch of a mother-in-law! Wanda Sykes plays Ruby and she's one of my favorite actresses and comedians.
Btw I found a second Monster-in-Law poster:
I like this one better la. The tagline's obviously funnier and I think it's somewhat more easily understandable. Okay whatever. Bye.

Monster-in-Law
After years of looking for Mr. Right, Charlotte 'Charlie' Cantilini finally finds the ultimate man of her dreams, Kevin Fields--only to discover that his mother, Viola, is the woman of her nightmares. A recently fired news anchor who is afraid she will lose her son the way she has just lost her career, Viola determines to scare off her son's new fiance by becoming the world's worst mother-in-law. While Viola's long-time assistant Ruby does her best to help Viola execute her crazy schemes, Charlie decides to fight back, and the gloves come off as the two women battle it out to see just who is the alpha-female.

Shit happens, sometimes it sucks
Just got back from my church's Family Day. We had it at the Taman Bukit Maluri open field. Was tonnes of fun! And to think I told them I wanted to help out with the telematch instead of playing. They didn't let me of course. No regrets there.
Plus I really thank God that the Penang trip was postponed or I wouldn't have been able to go. Some things do happen for a reason and it's nice when the reason's good.
So I was in the Turtle group. They made me leader, which I wasn't surprised of considering I was the oldest guy there. My group had 2 guys, 2 girls, one grandma, and 2 little boys. Pretty odd group, I know. But hey, we won consolation. It's not first prize, but not too bad for the odd group huh?
Things I didn't like? The weather was hot balls at one point. Man, I hate the heat! It makes me sweaty and sticky like that.
Also the last race had one of each of the team members' ankles tied up. We had to run half the field and the top three teams get extra 10 points each. Cause I was the leader, I was first in line and had one of the dead knots tied to my ankles.
That's when shit happened. During the race, that knot got tighter cause some dumbo beside me (who wasn't even supposed to be racing in the first place) kept on stepping on the string when we ran. And that fcuking hurt like dog! It was so tight at one point, paranoia made me think the string had started cutting into my skin. Note to self.. never again take part in a multi-legged race, nor a 3-legged race for that matter.

Another trailer for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince! Woot! I'm such a Potter freak, I tell you. Lol.
This trailer's simpler la. I guess you can say it's more straight to the point. But however it is, it's still another awesome trailer that is causing me to get more and more stoked on watching the bloody movie! So yeah man. Can't wait! Can't wait! CAN'T WAIT!

Calendar girls
I'd just watched The Secret Life of Bees.. one of the few movies I'd recently downloaded.
Best thing about this movie is that it stars 2 of my favorite actresses: Dakota Fanning and Queen Latifah. I think they are awesome actors! I've enjoyed every movie they'd ever acted in. They're brilliant, I tell ya.
Oh, and I'm also a big fan of Jennifer Hudson since her Idol days and then when she was in Dreamgirls. So yeah, that's another plus.
The story line's pretty good too. And it's one of those movies that exposes the true cruelty of the orang putihs towards the black community back then. Damn, they were cruel! Bloody racists bastards! I admit that I do get racist sometimes, but you don't see me walking around with a bat in my hand or just randomly finding fault and beating people up.
Man, suck up and live with it!

Taken in by the intelligent and independent Boatwright sisters, Lily finds solace in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping, honey and the Black Madonna.

Time bomb tits
A few of my movies had finished downloading last night, just as I had hoped. Woot! At least I won't be bored for the next couple of days.
I'd just watched one of them, Driving Lessons. It's such a quirky movie. And I just enjoy movies set in the UK cause then the characters would talk with that British or Scottish accent. Lol.
My favorite was Evie. She's is so vulgar, and sneaky, and well.. quirky. Loved her. Kudos to Julie Walters! But that slouch! My gawd! She could pull off acting as the Hunchback of Notre Dame with that. I really don't understand how people could stand slouching like that. Just makes me wanna smack it straight!
By now you must be wondering why the title? Right? You see there's this scene where Evie and Ben (Rupert Grint) had a small tiff. To cut the explanation short, Evie then said she had an untreatable condition, so Ben begs that she explains. And she said:
"To spare you the details, my tits have turned into time bombs. Doctors gave up treating me last year and my surgeon says it's the worst case he's ever seen."
So yeah. Haha!
Okay. I am freakin' starving and my mum's bought us all Mee Jawa for dinner. Yay! Gonna go eat. Bye.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Driving Lessons
Seventeen years of living in an absurdly conservative and traditional household with his highly-strung and overbearing mother and quiet, mild mannered vicar father have taken its toll on young Ben. However, Ben's world is turned upside down when he's employed by an eccentric retired actress Evie. Vulgar, dignified and childish all at once, she certainly is not the kind of person Ben expected when job-hunting. Evie enters Ben's life with a cataclysmic force, whisking him away on a series of adventures from camping, to performing Shakespeare in the garden, to attending the Edinburgh festival--where he finally meets a girl much nearer his own age. Evie's unconventional and often downright bizarre behavior challenges Ben's beliefs, and forces him to confront the very idea of who he wants to be.

Noons on snooze
GAAARRGH!!! My life is officially boring! For most of the past month, I've been bumming at home from noon till night. All day I'm either on the telly or on my laptop.
That's what I get for only having to work less than 4 hours every morning. Okay, time for a little boasting, just bare with me. Hehe. I look after 3 year olds at my mum's kindy from 8am till 11.45pm and I'm paid RM500 a month. If that ain't easy money, I dunno what is.
So anyways I do have tons of fun with the kids then, but after lunch, it's a 100% pure boredom! At least the telly's bearable (that is if there are decent programs on), but after surfing websites and Facebook-ing for several hours there really is nothing more to do. Plus I do that every day. So yeah, of course it gets boring. And I really never expected the internet to ever get boring, you know.
Now I'm just counting on my movie downloads to save me. But they're taking forever! A couple of them are almost done, though. If they're done by tonight then I can watch them tomorrow. Yes! Fingers crossed.

Weapon X
Just got back from Cineleisure. Was there with Adrian, Christy, Amber and Steph to watch the long awaited Wolverine movie. I was stoked all week! Was literally counting down the days. Serious.
And man, if I say so myself, the movie was some good shit! I love action-packed movies. More so when the movie's based on one of my favorite comics.
One thing's for sure, this movie really cleared up some things I'd previously wondered or never understood. So now I know. Plus some of them were pretty shocking actually. Like the fact that Wolverine and Sabertooth are real-life brothers. I was like: Shit! So didn't expect that.
Anyways, we also had dinner at TGIF, which was awesome! I love the food at Fridays. How I wish its prices are a tad cheaper, though.

EDIT (May 5, 2009 - 11.30 PM)
ZOMG!!! I just found out from IMDB's synopsis that, considering this is the last X-Men movie, there's actually a bonus scene after the credits! Daymn!
Well, click here if you wanna check out what happened. Just scroll all the way down to the end of the synopsis, brace yourself and read the last couple of sentences. Shocked?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Logan a.k.a. Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed (who will later become Sabertooth), and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

Sun and Suds
Bloody hell! It's a fcuking holiday for crying out loud! And it's during holidays that people who can afford to, would sleep in cause they'd purposely slept late the night before.
But no! In came the brat this morning to wake me up.. on mummy's orders! And why?? Cause she wants me to wash the damn car! Plus it was around 10-ish at the time and the sun was already up and blazing. I have enough tan lines, thank you very much!
Man, this is one of the reasons why I hate having my own car sometimes. Especially to have to wash it on your own, and in my case in the fcuking hot sun. It's pretty hard work.
But I did the damn washing anyways. Cause if I didn't, I'll never hear the end of it from the mother.. oh wait, and the father too. Welcome to my damn life!
By the way, Happy Labor Day!
Darren out.
EDIT (11:16 AM):
The brat just came in and said we're going for high tea. Hmm.. guess that's nice enough to make me forget this morning's incidents. Gotta go get ready. Bye.

When sibling rivalry turns ugly
I'd just watched The Other Boleyn Girl on DVD, and man that Anne Boleyn is such a ruthless biatch! I know this movie's based on a novel, but most of the facts and characters had actually existed a long, long time ago. So hmm.. I wonder whether the real Anne Boleyn was that bitchy.
And by the way I think the king should be renamed. He should be called King Horny the VII! What a horny bugger he is eh?
But anyhoo, the movie was pretty good. And the thing I like about this kinda movies is the way the characters speak: the sophistication and the perfectness of their English.. wow!

Leaving behind the simplicity of country life, the girls are thrust into the dangerous and thrilling world of court life--and what began as a bid to help their family develops into a ruthless rivalry between Anne and Mary for the love of the King. Initially, Mary wins King Henry's favor and becomes his mistress, bearing him two illegitimate children. But Anne, clever, conniving and fearless, edges aside both her sister and Henry's wife, Queen Katherine of Aragon, in her relentless pursuit of the King. Despite Mary's genuine feelings for Henry, her sister Anne has her sights set on the ultimate prize; Anne will not stop until she is Queen of England. As the Boleyn girls battle for the love of a King--one driven by ambition, the other by true affection--England is torn apart.

Dead or alive?
Daymn. I have to stop being such a lazy bum. I admit.. I do have the habit of not updating my blog for the longest time, then I'd start updating again like crazy but soon after the updating goes back to a halt. And so the cycle repeats itself.
So yeah, here I am bringing my blog back from the dead once more. Poor thing has started to rot. Sad case, I know. But I'm determined not to send it back to the grave ever again. I'll make it work somehow.

Dee-Sepuluh-Empat
"Nak angkat kawan..
dee-sepuluh-empat."
Last night was officially the last time Marv and I would be saying those words in a long while.
Okay to those who have no idea, that's Krystal's apartment number: D-10-4. Every time Marv and I go pick her up, we'll say those exact words (without fail) and hand the guards our driving license to register before we're allowed to drive in.
So yeah. Ms Sexay-Pants-of-Randomness here would be flying off to Melbourne, Oz later tonight. So gonna miss that woman! :'(
Wish I could have sent you off. Sorry babe. I'll see ya in June aight?

Double screenings
I freakin' got to go for two movie press screenings today! Woot!
First was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at GSC, Mid Valley. Loved the story, the characters and whatnot.. but to me the storyline was a tad draggy . The movie's based on a short story but it's 2 plus hours long la!
Why can't they do that for Harry Potter or something?? It's those thick-ass-novel-based-movies that deserve to be filmed that long and detailed. I so wouldn't mind sitting in a freezing cinema and holding in my urge to pee for those kind of movies. They deserve it.
Then again, whatever it is, I won't deny that Benjamin Button was a good movie. The concept of the story is quite genius, even if I say so myself.
The next movie's thanks to Nicky Dees. Here's the story:
Nicole got the tix for The Pink Panther 2 press screening and was supposed to ajak her other friend who has been dying to watch it. The girl didn't pick up her calls so she decided with me instead. Funny thing is the girl messaged Nicky during dinner:
Hey. Saw your missed calls. What's up?
But Nicky thought "What she doesn't know won't kill her." And so I still was the one to go with her. Yay!
So the movie, as expected, was fcuking hilarious! Steve Martin's awesome, I tell you.. awesome! I like Insp. Clouseau's cacat-ed French accent but seriously there was a point in the movie where I really wanted to smack him for being such an blundering idiot! Ish..
Oh and I didn't expect at all that Aishwarya Rai would be in the cast. Shocker! She was pretty good though.
I love my job.. and Nicky for being such a nice friend!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is adapted from the 1921s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918 to the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be. Benjamin Button is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Pink Panther 2
Insp. Jacques Clouseau, the legendary French Officer of the Law, who single-handedly saved the priceless Pink Panther Diamond, has been working outside the museum where the diamond is on display writing parking tickets for the last 6 months. Chief Inspector Dreyfus assigned this duty to his bumbling and inept police officer to get him out of his hair. Recently, treasures from around the world have been stolen by the Tornado, and an international dream team of detectives is being assembled to capture him, Clouseau being one of them. As soon as Clouseau joins the team, the Pink Panther Diamond is stolen by the Tornado. Now Clouseau must not only capture the Tornado, but save the diamond again.

Keeping a straight face
Yikes!!! Look what I found on OMG! just now.
Janice Dickinson doesn't shave??! That's pretty surprising. I thought all models or actresses should shave just in case? Hmm... this reminds me of Fatima from ANTM Cycle 10. Those of you who watches ANTM, remember this?
Eugh.. as much as I want to, I will never forget, man. Grotesque! Uhm.. if you can't see it clearly, you can always click to enlarge. But I don't think you would want to though, right? I won't.

Of blue hair and blood orange tans
Bride Wars rocks! It ain't some typical chic flick.. it's a freakin' comedy la. It was hilarious! I can honestly say that I loved it.
Oh sorry for just babbling. I went to OU with Marvin, Krystal and Thivya this noon. Lunch was at Bar.B.Q. Plaza cause Krys wanted to eat there before leaving to Aussie. Good thing though.. damn long didn't eat there dy.
Then we went for Bride Wars, which like I said was hilariously awesome! Seriously love the bitch fights. And that cookie bouquet.. my gawd.. the size of those cookies! Fcuk! No wonder Liv couldn't fit into that Vera Wang. Lawl.
Btw, I found this really lousy-and-stupid-yet-funny-and-cute game called the Bridal Beatdown from the Bride Wars official movie website. Try it out here.
And the best thing we did that day.. we bought ice-cream from Baskin Robbins. Woot! For those of you who don't know, BR gives a 31% discount every 31st day of the month. We got a pint of Pistachio Almond and a quart of half Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and half Jamoca Almond Fudge. Ah.. bliss.
We actually were supposed to share it while watching Russell Peters on Krys' Mac at DPC, but something came up. So tak jadi. Oh well.. guess Marvin and I'll just have it all to ourselves. Fcuk yeah! Haha.
Here's some pics and once again none of which I'm in from being the photographer.. sigh.

Fcuk yeah! Haha.
Here's some pics and once again none of which I'm in from being the photographer.. sigh.
Hehe.. I find this so cute.

Slave house labor
Oh man! I gotta go back to work tomorrow.
Gotta drag myself out of bed again.. drive all the way to the office while resisting the urge to drive the many idiotic motorists over.. find a freakin' parking spot.. and then it's back to sitting in front of the computer, typing bulletins all day. Sigh.. sien.
On the bright side, Eric and Kenneth won't be in. So I can prolly play Facebook without being super sneaky and cautious. But obviously.. like DUH!.. I'll still gotta do as much as possible la. Gotta be a good intern and get good testimonies, man.
No joke!
Aight.. I should prolly go catch some shut eye now. The rings around my eyes are black enough as it is. Don't want it getting worse. Goodnight peeps.

Ain't no jingle bells
OMG! It's finally happening! My cousin Victor has finally announced (at my family's CNY open house dinner) that he's getting married. In front of the whole freakin' family wei! Damn 7 got balls lor. Well actually it's his mum & sis who made him, but still?
All I have left to say is: Oh God.. please let this go well and through.
You see, this cuzzin of mine has escaped the wedding bell quite a few times. I personally think he's afraid of commitments la.. no offense to him. Anyhoo, that's the family's theory.
Heck! His younger sis is already married. Plus, he almost got engaged with his previous GF but then last year he suddenly he appeared at my granma's funeral with a new one. See what I tell ya?
Okay. So whatever la. I don't want to be the one to jinx anything. So God.. seriously, please make this engagement work! I'm praying and begging You on behalf of my family.
Now for the main reason of this post: I won't be able to go for the wedding cause it's planned for November. I'll most prolly still be in Aussie la. Crud! Sore dog lor.. the long-awaited wedding has finally arrived and I can't attend. Life sucks sometimes. Period.

It's just a hug
I just heard on the radio that today's the International Hugging Day! Activists overseas actually go around giving hugs to strangers while carrying signs that say "Free Hugs". I can't believe such a day even exists but I think it's real cool.
So make sure you give a big bear hug to your loved ones.
Here's my hug to you!
HUG! :)

Page three
Man.. I've been staring at the computer screen the whole day!
Why must Kenneth give me so many bulletins to type?? Sigh.. sien. Well at least I get to curi-curi use Facebook every few minutes la. So it really isn't that bad come to think of it.
Shites! The stupid office is suddenly getting too cold for comfort.. my fingers are icicles. Oritey then. I guess I better go home la.

No dibs
Damn sore! I could have gone with Megat to MV for the press screening of Ong Bak 2. But then tak jadi. Why?
Cause my 'best friend' Danny was free and had no assignments to do at all, and Megat's cousin was in the studio shooting for Seventeen's Meet Guy section. Plus Kenneth assigned me with some bulletins to write. So Kenneth said that maybe I should stay in the office to work on my bulletins and allow the 3 guys to go watch the movie. We're given 3 seats by the way.
So yeah.. my happiness was destroyed. Was so excited and seriously looking forward to watching Ong Bak 2 la. What with the first movie containing damn freakin' awesome fight scenes and equally awesome language. Haha.
Sigh. That's the disadvantage of being an intern. You don't get first dibs on anything.. the writers do. Just gotta live with it la.

Writer's block
Yeeeaah.. I gotta admit that I have started going MIA again. I really almost totally forgot about my blog la. I know, wierd. Sigh sorry I guess.. for disappointing you guys with a stagnant blog whenever you visit.
Anyhoo, for those of you who don't know yet, I have already started interning at Men's Health magazine. A lot of people have asked where my office is. Okay I can only give you landmarks though. So Blu Inc is near UTAR and Glad Tidings (which has an awesome cafeteria btw) and is on the way to Jaya 33.
Work is pretty fun.. but only cause I get to help with photo shoots, go for events, get free stuff, and all those other perks. Hahahahaha. No la! It's all real good.. even when I have to do proper work.
The guys I work with are really nice and very helpful. There's Eric (editor), Kenneth (deputy editor), John (fashion & grooming writer), Megat (writer), Danny (designer), and Hilal (designer). I've also got to know the girls from Seventeen and one even car-pools with me.. sometimes.
Just to boast, the events I've been to so far are Metojaya's opening of their new Metrojaya Department Store at the Curve and TOD's press presentation event at Pavilion. And I've gotten free stuff at both. Lawl.
My fav: TOD's. A bit too much gay vibe going on though.. what with all the sengeted fashion people there. But it was damn 7 high class wei! There were freakin' waiters standing around holding trays of drinks and hors' dourves.. hot models also standing around wearing TOD's accessories.. the label's reps showing us around the outlet and the new apparels. Daymn! First time ever experiencing this kind of treatment wei!
And then we got the souvenirs and it was fcuking disappointing. John, the MH writer I teman-ed and I both got these pink leather wrist bands. Like wtf??! Can't they give us one in black or brown? Even red is still fine. Gay bastards! Sigh. But I'm still keeping it though. It's freakin' branded la. From the price tags of the stuff I saw in the boutique, it prolly costs nearly RM1,000. No way am I giving it away to someone else. I'll find a way to wear it one way or another.
Okay la.. malas wanna type any longer. I'll prolly post pics of my office and colleagues one of these days. Meanwhile check out our website and also grab a copy of the upcoming February issue of Men's Health from the nearest stands to see my name in it. Hahahaha..
